For one month in the autumn of 2002, Ginger Brooks Takahashi and I traveled to Black Mountain, North Carolina to set up our instruments and recording equipment in  an empty house that had belonged to a friend’s deceased grandmother. The album is a document of everything we recorded while we were there.
